So
I finally got around to this tutorial, it was very interesting (though the
start of it was similar to what I've picked up through life drawing in the
past, the build up of light and shade etc.)
The face on my drawing is a little off from the original, but
I squashed everything slimmer and then warped the face until I could get it as
close as I could. I found the tutorial a little hard to follow just because it
was so drawn out, I also couldn't see things like brush opacity as the toolbar
was cut off the top of the screen for some reason.
The gradual build up works very nicely, everything blends together. I'll have to try to use it more in the future to avoid a cut/collage appearance.
